As you may have heard, in the past hour, Governor Tom Wolf has ordered mass closing of all schools in Montgomery County for the next two weeks and placed limits on public gatherings.
While we are still processing certain aspects of this, immediately, we wanted to announce that the ECC and the Religious School will be closed for the next two weeks. Minyan tonight and tomorrow morning will be held virtually via a web conference. The links will be posted on tbhbe.org and or facebook page https://www.facebook.com/temple.beth.hillel.beth.el/
We are assessing Friday night and Shabbat morning services and will send a further followup.
If you have a child in the ECC Late Care, we are requesting that families pick up children as soon as possible.
We recognize that this is a particularly stressful time. There will be a follow up email later on today (in place of our regular e-highlights) featuring ways that we can come together to support one another as a community. For the parents of our students, we have been preparing for this moment for the past few weeks. Judith and Lisa will be emailing you separately about planned activities and opportunities for your students that will help keep them connected to one another, provide educational moments, and help to break up the day.
Our community regularly demonstrates its commitment to one another in a myriad of ways. Unfortunately, the next few weeks will be another opportunity for each of us to demonstrate and teach our children about the Jewish value of Hesed (loving kindness).
