Synagogue Updates

Good evening all and Happy Father's Day to all of the dads, granddads, step dads and fatherly role-models,

We know that today is meaningful for many, but also can be very hard for some. We hope that today has brought you positive experiences and positive memories. 

Quick event update: Rabbi Cooper's news class tomorrow needs to be canceled. It will resume next week. 

Please mark your calendar for Friday, July 3rd. for a pre-Independence Day event during the daytime. Now that Montgomery County has announced that it is moving to Phase Green next Friday, a board committee is actively working on what types of experiences we might be having. 

Thank you to everyone that filled out our High Holiday Survey. It is providing us with some very helpful information and is still open to fill out here.

There are two opportunities to help your fellow congregants. Occasionally, our minyan is not reaching 10 people. Luckily, with zoom there is no commute. We are looking for people to be on a text list that we can reach out to if we need help making a minyan so that people will be able to say kaddish. Will you answer the call? Please fill out the form below. 

We are also looking to have congregants bake challot to deliver to other congregants. Starting next week, each week, we will have a link that congregants can sign up to let us know if they would be able to make challah for others, if they can deliver challah, and if they would like to receive challah. We are hoping to foster connections in the community, make challah baking a more regular tradition, and to enhance your Shabbat experience. This will be a great activity for some of our teens that are home for the summer as well as for anyone else who likes baking. The form below will let you select if you would like to bake, deliver or receive challah. Feel free to select all three.
