Shalom,
As you know, TBHBE has always had dignified and meaningful Tisha B'av services with very nice attendance. With Covid-19, our services must have a different model, so please take note of the detailed explanations which follow for each of the three services.
You can, of course, use any texts that you already have and are familiar with. For those who need to use or would like to use texts available online, please follow the instructions below for each different service for Tisha B’Av.
1) This year Maariv for Tisha B’Av is on Wednesday Night, July 29th at 9:00 PM over Zoom only. There will not be a regular 7:45 PM service. The evening service and reading of Eichah (Lamentations) will be preceded by a special Zoom musical presentation and slideshow, featuring Zavel Zilberts' Al Naharos Bovel. There is a tradition that this service is held in a room with subdued lighting to match the subdued character of the service. Please dim your lights accordingly. The Maariv prayers are chanted in a plaintive minor mode and in a quiet manner.

Click here to access a 42-page downloadable PDF of Megillat Eikhah and the popular kinah "Eli Tziyon," including translation and transliteration of the latter. If you would instead, prefer to have a hard copy of the synagogue's Tisha B'av booklets, you may pick one up from the synagogue office in advance. Please contact Ken Krivitzky to arrange a time. I will be calling out the pages from both texts, for both Wednesday night and Thursday morning services.
2) The Shachrit Thursday morning minyan (July 30th at 7:45 AM) will be BOTH on the chapel patio (in-person) AND simultaneously via Zoom. Tallit and Tefillin are not worn at this service. Because of our shul’s Covid-19 guidelines, for this one special Thursday morning minyan, attendance on the patio is by prior RSVP to Ben Stein, our daily minyan program coordinator. He can be reached by email here or by phone (H) 610-896-6386 (M) 610-457-6049
For those attending, please park in the back parking lot. If the weather is difficult, we will move to the sanctuary. Masks are mandatory, and we will observe physical/social distancing guidelines.
