Good morning (it is at least morning when I am starting this - when I finish it, who knows),
This will be another email that I have way too much that I want to put into it, so bear with me. Why am I so excited? For starters, we should all wish Mazel Tov to Rabbi and Lori Cooper on the birth of a new granddaughter!
As more and more of our congregation are getting vaccinated, we have more requests to come together for services. Right now, our Shabbat morning services are open to the community (with a limited capacity, so RSVPs are a must) and we will be doing the first and eighth day of Passover services in person. Tot Shabbat and Oreo Minyan meet together outside almost every week. As the weather gets nicer and there is interest, we will be looking to add Friday evening services and daily minyan.
Need a vaccine? For Veterans, appointments are available at the VA. Delaware County has just opened up spaces and more spaces are becoming available in Montgomery County and Philadelphia. If you are having trouble getting an appointment, send me an email and I will see if there is anyone in our community that can help (Have any special skills at this? Let me know as well)
Religious School is in session virtually this morning. I am here for tech support because our classes will be virtually attending a tour of Israel and of the Tenement Museum in New York. The current environment while bringing lots of challenges is also presenting us with some innovative opportunities that we will continue to take advantage of in the future.
We have two excellent programs at the same time this Thursday evening. There will be the second week of Saul Wach's excellent class on the Afterlife AND we will be continuing our partnership with Mount Hermon Baptist Church and putting on a Virtual Vision Board Party.
March Mishegas is Back!
Hallie Chandler is coming back from Maternity Leave! We are excited to be full staffed and for a few upcoming initiatives that will be coming up for our youth and our community!
Passover is coming up, you can sell your Hametz here. We are working on some fun programs for everyone to celebrate! With Passover, I want to remind you that we have volunteers that have offered to shop for you. It might be harder to get Passover ingredients online.
Thank you to everyone that has congratulated me on being honored with Men's Club's Man of the Year. It takes a village and I am very appreciative to be a part of this one. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
