Synagogue Updates

Happy Sunday,

Last week, I wrote about our Rabbinic Search Process, so this week is a perfect time to write about several of the opportunities that the synagogue is creating to honor Rabbi and Lori Cooper. 

But first, Thursday of this week is Veteran's Day. Thank you to all of those in our community that have served. Our annual tradition is to invite our Veteran's for an aliyah and we will be doing so this coming Shabbat. We keep a list of everyone that has served and will be sharing that with the community. Are you a veteran? Please let us know so that we can include you in our thanks and our list. 

We are excited for a series of events this year to honor Rabbi and Lori and their service and dedication to our community.

• First up is our annual Adult Retreat over President's Day weekend on February 18 - 20.  Registration is now open. 
• Israel is now open for travel and our Israel trip registration has begun!  If you are ready to travel, we have a great tour to celebrate with the Coopers. Ayelet, our tour company, is offering a generous $300 per person discount to prior travelers on any of our three trips with them. Note that this discount is valid through November 15th. You can place your deposit as well as see the itinerary here.  Have questions? Please contact Randy Goldberg. 
• Our theatrical production, MidSummer's Night Dream, will feature a special recognition of Rabbi and Lori. The show will take place in March. 
• We will close out the year with a special weekend celebration of Rabbi and Lori - please save the date for June 10 - 12th. 

With Thanksgiving coming up in a few weeks, this is a great opportunity to recognize and thank someone in your life! We are excited here as we are at the time of the year where we have a Bar or Bat Mitzvah every week (sometimes more than one), so thank you all for being a part of our community and celebrating with us!
