Our First Shabbat with Rabbi Witkovsky - Help us Share the Excitement

Friends,

I know I said that we were stopping the Sunday emails, and in theory I meant it. But, forgive me, I am excited, and those that have read my emails for a while know that I really like sharing what I am excited about. Towards the end of this email, I am going to ask you to help me share the excitement.

We had a beautiful weekend, our first with Rabbi Witkovsky. It was great having outdoor services on Friday near the playground and listening to the ruach (spirit) - both from those singing and from the kids at play. It was also great seeing so many on Shabbat morning - and perhaps worrying a bit about having enough food (we made it). Friday evening was hot and there was a moment that showed me who Rabbi Witkovsky really is. We had two congregants playing guitar during Kabbalat Shabbat and I watched Rabbi go up to them to check in to see if they needed water. Rabbi started going to get them water himself. There is a common line that fits our community right now, May You Go from Strength to Strength - and we are seeing that - but I am equally excited about a variation of that line, May You Go From Mensch to Mensch. We are seeing that as well.

Here is Rabbi Witkovsky's first sermon to our community.  Here is the podcast version. You can view the whole Shabbat morning service here. (Click on the arrow for previous broadcasts.) We will also be sharing the sermon on social media.

There is a lot of buzz around our community and excitement. Please help us share it. Share the Torah Talks and the sermons we are putting out each week. Invite your friends, including former congregants, to join you at our events or services. New and potential members can attend this week's beyond bbq and the upcoming Rabbi's class and concerts for free. If you would like to receive language to help you invite others, let me know.

It is a great time to be a part of the TBH-BE community. Please help us spread the word!

Wishing you a great week,

Ken
