Synagogue Updates

Shabbat Shalom,

I just heard the great news that a congregant will be publishing a book in November (name to be included in a future email after I connect with the person). When you have good news like that, please share it with us so we can broadcast it to the community. We love sharing the positive things going on. For instance, Lisa Richman, our Director of the Religious School, just received her Doctorate. Please join us in wishing her a mazel tov!  

A reminder, we will have candles in the lobby in the afternoon leading up to our Shabbat services. When picking up your child from late care, coming to (or leaving) services, or just as a stop on your night please stop by to light Shabbat candles.  

On August 12, we will be participating in Devotion by the Ocean. Rabbi Witkovsky will be traveling to the shore that weekend. You can learn more and register for a Shabbat to go bag here (pro-tip, you don't actually have to be going to the shore to get a Shabbat to go bag)

Tonight, Kabbalat Shabbat will be in the Holocaust Memorial Chapel and Chapel Patio.  Please join Hazzan Rosner and Rabbi Witkovsky as we begin Shabbat this evening.
