Shabbat Shalom,

The Hebrew month of Elul starts this weekend, the last month before Rosh Hashanah. High Holiday preparations are in high gear and we are happy to share some of the initial details. High Holiday tickets will be mailed after Labor Day. There will be a variety of service options, including our Main Sanctuary Service, our Lay Led service in the Holocaust Memorial Chapel – which includes outdoor seating under the awning, and a variety of family services in a tent on our parking lot. In addition, youth program options are being brought back. A full schedule will be available and sent in early September.

Every adult that is a full member of our congregation (i.e. not an Associate member or Friend Of) will receive tickets. Children between the ages of 13 and 25 will automatically receive tickets. Children between 26 and 30 receive tickets upon request. This year, we are also bringing back the option to purchase guest tickets. Our guest tickets are designed for friends and family that live outside of the Philadelphia region. This year, at your request, TBH-BE will issue tickets to all children of members regardless of age, including the child’s family. This is an opportunity for your adult children to meet Rabbi Witkovsky and reconnect with our community. The guest ticket form is available for download here and online here.

We hope you will join us tonight and tomorrow for services. Tomorrow’s kiddush lunch will be sponsored by Marcia Hole and Arnie Levinson in honor of their 25th anniversary.

Here is Rabbi Witkovsky’s pre-Shabbat message to the community!

One of the benefits of our increasingly virtual world is the ability to access classes and services from all over the world. The conservative movement has been producing scholar stream for the past two years. You are able to register and access the classes as a member of our congregation. You can learn more and register here. Access code: Wynnewood5783

A reminder, we will have candles in the lobby in the afternoon leading up to our Shabbat services. When picking up your child from late care, coming to services, or just as a stop on your night please stop by to light Shabbat candles.

Wishing you a great weekend and a great week!
