Shabbat Shalom,

Welcome to our new members! This email goes out every Friday and includes a short video message from Rabbi Witkovsky (or special guest), our Shabbat/weekend calendar, and any other information that we feel it is important for you to know for the upcoming week. I try (often unsuccessfully, such as this week) to keep it short.

This is a packed email for one of our Friday emails. With the holy days coming up, there is so much going on. We are excited that this weekend will be the first community Bar Mitzvah with Rabbi Witkovsky leading services (go Michael Grolnick!). Michael will also be leading kiddush at Shabbat services tonight, so come out and join us in the Holocaust Memorial Chapel or the Chapel Patio for a beautiful night.

We inadvertently didn't include this Sunday's online Torah Study with Friends, led by Mike Elkins. It is at 11:00am and you can join in here.

We are working on enhancing our kiddush lunches on non-B'nei Mitzvah weekends. If you would like to sponsor one or donate to our kiddush fund to help support our efforts, please reach out to Barbara Schwartz. Our first available kiddush is next week. The Torah Portion Ki Tavo focuses on relationships, so please donate in someone's honor! This is a great way to honor the relationships in your life that are powerful and strong, perhaps with a sibling, friend, or spouse? Your special honoree will receive a message to let them know you are sponsoring this Kiddush in their honor.

Lulav and etrogim are available for order here. Prices have gone up this year to $55 a set. Please know that this is not a fundraiser for us, these are the costs that we are expecting to pay.

High Holiday tickets are being mailed out at the beginning of next week to everyone that has made a payment or returned their commitment form. The commitment form is available here if you have not sent it in. You can order guest tickets (and remember, this year your kids are free) here. For those on this email list that are not yet members, I would be happy to speak to you about membership.

Is your teen responsible and would they like to be a parent's helper for a Shabbat between 10am and 12pm? We are piloting a new program and are looking to see who might be interested. They would be paid $25 for the time. Email me, and bonus points if they are available tomorrow.

There are so many events to RSVP for right now, please look at the synagogue calendar for what is coming up. We need RSVPs for Welcome Back Shabbat by the beginning of next week.
